Our prices include FREE membership to our Online Academy for the first 3 months you learn with us (worth £75)

After 3 months we would love you to continue accessing the Online Academy (as it’s pretty awesome and useful!) – at the reduced rate of £15 per month.

If you choose not to, then we have plenty of FREE resource on our website too.

We are delighted to offer a lower rate of £35 per hour for Full-Time students, NHS staff and the Armed Forces (via Defense Discount Service).

There is a lot of useful information available on our Resources page including a helpful link. And all Melissa’s Driving Academy students get full and free access to Theory Test Pro.

During your lessons we will certainly cover some of the theory but with a question bank of over 900 possible questions you must dedicate some time to learning the highway code and associated theory.

Make sure you book your theory test on the GOV.UK website to avoid extra charges

If there is something more we can help you to understand please don’t hesitate to contact us.

You don’t have to pass your Theory Test before starting lessons; but it’s designed to make sure you know the information that will help you drive well and safely.

It will be cheaper and more effective if you know the Highway Code and something of the theory behind driving before you have lessons. So we recommend you make a good start.

However, you don’t have to know it all or have passed your Theory Test before starting lessons.

A good instructor can teach you the theory, of course, but it will take up time in your lessons so the most efficient way to learn to drive is to study this outside of lessons. You can then use the time in the car to get the much-needed practice of controlling the car, reading the road and making decisions promptly.

Firstly, make your payment – it’s super easy to do, with our four step process. Start by following this link to our online payment system.

Then call, text or use the online Contact form to book your lessons.

At the moment, yes.

But I have fantastic support from my Admin Team (aka Dobby!) so I can now spend more time in the car on booked lessons.

And with the launch of our new Online Academy demand for MDA is high, so watch this space!

We use a manual, dual control KIA Ceed. It’s a great all-round car for learning to drive and has plenty of room inside. The seat is adjustable so it can accommodate the shorter and the taller persons out there. Oh and it’s gold so you won’t miss it!

We can certainly help if you live in the Oxford, Kidlington, Abingdon or Didcot areas. If you live beyond these locations let us know as we may be able to get to you for an additional charge.

This varies considerably as each person will have a different learning style and will absorb information or adapt at different speeds. Therefore there is no set formula or timescale. We work with you and your learning style to get you through to test level as soon as possible.
